Liliana Alcalá Ortega, es una videoartista andaluza, graduada en Bellas Artes que tras cursar dos másteres divide su camino entre el mundo del videoarte y del cine. Actualmente suma ya una decena de proyectos en el departamento de Dirección entre películas y series de nuestro país para plataformas como Netflix o Amazon.
Su narrativa visual nos desvela una obra intimista y ambivalente que nos lleva a reconocer lo más profundo del ser: la identidad. Su trabajo surgen del cuerpo y lo femenino, centrándose en lo performativo como origen del relato.
Su obra se ha exhibido en numerosas ocasiones en A/R/Tográfica (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022), así como en otras plataformas dedicadas al video experimental entre las que destaca: el Ciclo internacional de Video Ultramar (2021), la Primera Muestra de Video Experimental: C/A/RTOGRAFÍAS DE LO IN/VISIBLE en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH) (2023), la muestra audiovisual !Mi Jardín es una Obra Lenta”, organizado por el Instituto de Investigación de Género e Igualdad de la Universidad de Málaga (2023).
Liliana Alcalá Ortega is an Andalusian video artist and Fine Arts graduate who, after completing two master's degrees, has developed her career between the fields of video art and cinema. She has currently participated in around ten projects within the directing department of Spanish films and television series produced for platforms such as Netflix and Amazon.
Her visual narrative reveals an intimate and ambivalent body of work that invites us to explore the deepest dimensions of human existence: identity. Her practice emerges from the body and femininity, focusing on performativity as the origin of narrative.
Her work has been exhibited on numerous occasions at A/R/Tográfica (2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022), as well as in other platforms devoted to experimental video, including the Ultramar International Video Cycle (2021); the First Exhibition of Experimental Video: C/A/RTOGRAPHIES OF THE IN/VISIBLE, held at the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) (2023); and the audiovisual exhibition "My Garden Is a Slow Work", organized by the Institute for Gender and Equality Research at the University of Málaga (2023).

Artista interdisciplinar nacido en España. Licenciado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Granada (España) y posee un MFA por la Universidad de Chicago en Illinois (UIC). Actualmente vive y trabaja en Chicago donde imparte clases de pintura en la Universidad. Su obra ha sido mostrada en exposiciones individuales y colectivas en China, México y Europa y forma parte de numerosas colecciones privadas, museos e instituciones públicas. La producción de Baños se caracteriza principalmente por pinturas e instalaciones de gran formato que exploran temas que van desde la realidad cotidiana hasta lo intemporal, retratando el miedo, los paisajes interiores, los sueños y energía de las personas y objetos. Los elementos de sus composiciones muestran convulsiones gestuales y cromáticas sincronizadas, donde la robótica y la pintura danzan en una extraña sensación de vida artificial.

He lives and works in Chicago, where he teaches painting and drawing courses at the University. His work has been shown in individual and group exhibitions in China, Mexico, and Europe and is part of numerous private collections, museums, and public institutions. Baños' production is mainly characterized by large-format paintings and installations that explore themes ranging from everyday reality to the timeless, portraying fear, interior landscapes, dreams, and energy of people and objects. Michela Fabbrocino es investigadora, autora, fotógrafa, curadora y profesora titular de Fotografía en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Bari, donde coordina la Dirección de Estudios de cine, fotografía y audiovisual en el nivel de grado y los programas de máster especializados en fotografía y cine. Cuenta con una sólida formación académica, con un Doctorado en arte visual y educación obtenido en la Universidad de Granada y una licenciatura en fotografía en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Nápoles.
Experta en fotografía social, antropológica y científica, participa en congresos internacionales, profundizando en el uso de la fotografía como herramienta de investigación social. Además, es curadora fotográfica y se dedica al apoyo de autores emergentes, ayudándoles a perfeccionar sus proyectos.
Michela Fabbrocino is a researcher, author, photographer, curator, and Professor of Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari. She coordinates the Film, Photography, and Audiovisual Studies Department at the undergraduate level and the specialized Master's programs in Photography and Film. She has a strong academic background, holding a Doctorate in Visual Arts and Education from the University of Granada and a Bachelor of Photography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples.
An expert in social, anthropological, and scientific photography, she participates in international conferences, deepening her understanding of photography as a tool for social research. She is also a photographic curator and dedicates herself to supporting emerging authors, helping them refine their projects.

Rocío Lara-Osuna es investigadora y profesora en la Universidad de Granada (Granada, España). Es graduada en Bellas Artes y doctora en Educación Artística.
Su producción artística e investigadora se centra en el uso de la Realidad Aumentada Basada en la Proyección para el desarrollo de métodos de enseñanza basados en las artes, siguiendo las propuestas didácticas del cineasta experimental José Val-del-Omar (Granada, 1904 - Madrid, 1982).
El estudio de este artista la hace introducirse en el campo del cine expandido y el projection mapping. Desde 2018 desarrolla instalaciones interactivas de projection mapping, cuya peculiaridad es que convierten al espectador en creador de las imágenes proyectadas.
Actualmente, está iniciando una nueva línea de investigación centrada en los entornos inmersivos proyectados y sus implicaciones educativas, en colaboración con el Laboratoire de Recherche Sociétés & Humanités (LARSH) de la Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (Valenciennes, Francia) y el Video Mapping European Center.
Rocío Lara-Osuna is a researcher and professor at the University of Granada (Spain). She has a degree in fine arts and a Ph.D. in art education.
Her artistic and research production focuses on using Projection-Based Augmented Reality to develop teaching methods based on the arts, following the didactic proposals of the experimental filmmaker José Val-del-Omar (Granada, 1904- Madrid, 1982).
The study of this artist led her to enter the field of expanded cinema and projection mapping. Since 2018, she has been developing interactive projection mapping installations, whose peculiarity is that they turn the viewer into the creator of the projected images.
Currently, Rocio is starting a new line of research focused on projected immersive environments and their educational implications in collaboration with the Laboratoire de Recherche Sociétés & Humanités (LARSH) of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (Valenciennes, France) and the Video Mapping European Center.

Artista visual, escénica e investigadora.
Graduada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Granada, su trayectoria evoluciona hacia la exploración de la imagen en movimiento (video-arte) desde el Departamento de Diseño, Creación, Experimentación e Investigación en Artes Visuales. Paralelamente a su formación universitaria, se forma en las Artes Escénicas como intérprete, participando activamente en proyectos teatrales, cinematográficos, talleres, laboratorios escénicos y audiovisuales.
Especializada en cinematografía, filmación y postproducción, su mirada artística educada le permite desempeñarse profesionalmente como fotógrafa, técnica y creativa audiovisual en cortometrajes, realizaciones, espectáculos, publicidad y eventos colaborando con artistas, estudios y productoras de forma independiente a nivel nacional e internacional. Como integrante de colectivos y laboratorios de creación escénica y audiovisual, su trabajo creador surge de esta interdisciplinariedad, ampliando su campo de estudio en narrativas, puesta en escena y lenguajes de la imagen en movimiento. Tras la formación de Máster en Artes Visuales y Educación su desarrollo y enfoque investigador aborda aspectos correspondientes a las pedagogías de la mirada, al acto de filmar como pensamiento desde la acción, las conexiones rizomáticas y la relación cuerpo-tiempo-espacio en la creación audiovisual ensayística, documental y experimental desde una perspectiva A/r/tográfica.

A graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Granada, her career path evolves towards the exploration of the moving image (video art) within the Department of Design, Creation, Experimentation, and Research in Visual Arts. Alongside her university studies, she trained in the Performing Arts as a performer, actively participating in theatrical projects, films, workshops, and scenic and audiovisual laboratories.
Specializing in cinematography, filming, and post-production, her educated artistic perspective allows her to work professionally as a photographer, audiovisual technician, and creative in short films, productions, shows, advertising, and events, collaborating with artists, studios, and production companies independently at a national and international level. As a member of scenic and audiovisual creation collectives and laboratories, her creative work stems from this interdisciplinarity, broadening her field of study in narratives, staging, and the languages of the moving image. Following her Master's degree in Visual Arts and Education, her development and research focus addresses aspects corresponding to the pedagogies of the gaze, the act of filming as thought from action, rhizomatic connections, and the body-time-space relationship in essayistic, documentary, and experimental audiovisual creation from an A/r/tographic perspective.

Doctor en Artes y Educación con Acreditación Internacional por Universidad de Granada, con una estancia de investigación en Aalto University School of Art, Design and Architecture. Actualmente es profesor ayudante doctor del Área de Didáctica de la Expresión Plástica con docencia en los Grados de Educación Infantil y Educación Primaria y en el Grado en Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Granada. Además, es profesor del Máster en Artes Visuales y Educación: un enfoque construccionista y dirige tesis doctorales en el Programa de Doctorado en Artes y Educación de misma universidad.
Es miembro del grupo de investigación HUM-489 Educación Artística y Estética en Artes Visuales (Universidad de Granada). Entre los proyectos de investigación destaca la participación en el proyecto Metodologías de investigación basadas en las artes [arts-based research]: desarrollo de conceptos, técnicas e instrumentos de investigación artística, y en el proyecto A/r/tografía, métodos de investigacion educativa basada en artes visuales e inteligencia artificial para la innovacion e inclusion social, ambos concedidos por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación.
Ha realizado numerosas publicaciones relacionadas con la línea de investigación de las metodologías de investigación educativa basada en las artes y la a/r/tografía, empleando la fotografía para el estudio de los espacios educativos y su relación con la construcción de identidades. En otoño de 2023 realizó una estancia de investigación de tres meses con el grupo CIEBA de la Universidade de Lisboa.
La producción artística a través de la fotografía se vincula con la investigación de los espacios educativos y urbanos. Destaca la serie fotográfica Helsinki Façades premiada en el Certamen Andaluz de Fotografía DESENCAJA (2013). Asimismo ha colaborado en proyectos audiovisuales y de vídeo experimental, participando en Certamen de Videoarte del Ayuntamiento de Astillero o el Festival de Arte Contemporáneo ArtSur.
PhD in Arts and Education with International Accreditation from the University of Granada, including a research stay at the Aalto University School of Art, Design and Architecture. He is currently an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Area of Didactics of Visual Expression, teaching in the Bachelor’s Degrees in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Fine Arts at the University of Granada. He also teaches on the Master’s Degree in Visual Arts and Education: A Constructionist Approach and supervises doctoral dissertations within the PhD Programme in Arts and Education at the same university.
He is a member of the research group HUM-489 Art Education and Aesthetics in Visual Arts (University of Granada). His research projects include participation in Arts-Based Research Methodologies: Development of Concepts, Techniques, and Instruments for Artistic Research, and A/r/tography: Arts-Based Educational Research Methods Using Visual Arts and Artificial Intelligence for Innovation and Social Inclusion, both funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
He has published extensively within the field of arts-based educational research methodologies and a/r/tography, using photography to study educational spaces and their relationship with the construction of identities. In autumn 2023, he undertook a three-month research stay with the CIEBA research group at the University of Lisbon.
His artistic production through photography is closely linked to research on educational and urban spaces. Notably, his photographic series Helsinki Façades received an award at the Andalusian Photography Competition DESENCAJA(2013). He has also collaborated on audiovisual and experimental video projects, participating in events such as the Astillero City Council Video Art Competition and the ArtSur Contemporary Art Festival.

Rubén Martín de Lucas

Ingeniero de Caminos, Canales y Puertos por la UPM de Madrid, declinó ejercer la ingeniería para dedicarse por completo al arte. Fue también uno de los fundadores de Boa Mistura con quién trabajó desde 2001 a 2015 realizando proyectos en países como Brasil, México, Argelia o Sudáfrica.
En enero de 2015 comienza su andadura en solitario con un claro foco en lo que el artista llama “paisaje y comportamiento asociado”. Acciones en el paisaje, series fotográficas, pintura e instalaciones de vídeo conforman un cuerpo de trabajo cuyo discurso comprometido y crítico nos invita a replantear urgentemente nuestra relación con la Tierra.
Su trabajo ha sido expuesto en monográficas en centros de arte como el Kunstverein de Augsburg, el CAB de Burgos o el Lianzhou Museum of Photography de China. En festivales de fotografía como Encontros de Imagem en Braga o Circulation(s) en Paris. Trabaja con galerías de España, Francia, Alemania y Estados Unidos y ha sido ampliamente exhibido en colectivas en otros países como Uruguay, Cuba, Italia, Nigeria o Finlandia.
A Civil Engineer specialized in Roads, Canals, and Ports from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), he declined to pursue engineering in order to dedicate himself fully to art. He was also one of the founders of Boa Mistura, with whom he worked from 2001 to 2015, carrying out projects in countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Algeria, and South Africa.
In January 2015, he began his solo career with a clear focus on what the artist calls “landscape and associated behavior.” Actions in the landscape, photographic series, painting, and video installations form a body of work whose committed and critical discourse invites us to urgently reconsider our relationship with the Earth.
His work has been presented in solo exhibitions at art centers such as the Kunstverein in Augsburg, the CAB in Burgos, and the Lianzhou Museum of Photography in China; and in photography festivals such as Encontros de Imagem in Braga or Circulation(s) in Paris. Articulista y crítico de cine para la revista Dirigido por..., asimismo publica "Conversaciones sobre cine: del hogar a la intemperie", su primer ensayo dedicado al cine, en dos volúmenes.
Ha realizado varias conferencias y clases magistrales, tanto en España como en el extranjero. Raúl ha sido fundador y responsable de La Cineteca, espacio referencial en formación de profesionales del sector del Cine y Audiovisual. Su investigación se centra en la recuperación de la mirada en los territorios de resistencia audiovisual y cinematográfica, ubicados en el ámbito de formación rural.

Raul has been the founder and manager of La Cineteca, a reference space for training professionals in the Film and Audiovisual sector. His research focuses on recovering the gaze in the territories of audiovisual and cinematographic resistance located in rural education.

Artista, docente e investigador en el Departamento de Arte y Arquitectura de la Universidad de Málaga. Como fruto de su trabajo teórico ha participado en múltiples ponencias y ha publicado diversos textos sobre arte contemporáneo, profundizando en temas como el sentido o la falta de sentido, el existencialismo y la espiritualidad, búsquedas que lo han acercado al pensamiento oriental, al taoísmo, la meditación y la idea de silencio.
En los últimos años su trabajo se ha centrado en una perspectiva social, atendiendo a una visión relacional y participativa. Desde 2021 coordina Artefacto Social, un proyecto colectivo de arte cooperativo para la transformación social. Actualmente dirige las Jornadas de Arte, Educación y Acción Sociocultural. Desordenar lo Ordenado. Y coordina la Plataforma de Acción Sociocultural Surtopías junto con otras docentes y estudiantes de la Universidad de Málaga.
Artist, educator, and researcher in the Department of Art and Architecture at the University of Málaga. As a result of his theoretical work, he has participated in numerous lectures and has published several texts on contemporary art, delving into themes such as meaning and meaninglessness, existentialism, and spirituality—explorations that have brought him closer to Eastern thought, Taoism, meditation, and the idea of silence.
In recent years, his work has focused on a social perspective, embracing a relational and participatory approach. Since 2021, he has coordinated Artefacto Social, a collective cooperative art project for social transformation. He currently directs the Conference on Art, Education, and Sociocultural Action: Disordering the Ordered, and co-coordinates the Sociocultural Action Platform Surtopías together with other educators and students from the University of Málaga.

Úrsula San Cristóbal (1987) es una artista interdisciplinaria e investigadora radicada en Barcelona. Su trabajo artístico propone un punto de encuentro entre los lenguajes de la música experimental, el arte contemporáneo y el audiovisual. Se centra en el cuerpo, el sonido y el video, abordando problemáticas diversas como el género, la salud mental, el erotismo, los afectos y la imaginación fantástica vinculada a lo inquietante y lo extraño. Es Doctora en Historia del Arte y Musicología por la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona con una tesis sobre el rol del sonido en obras de video arte y performance art de Marina Abramović y Shirin Neshat, investigación por la que recibió el premio extraordinario de doctorado en 2020.
Ha sido artista invitada en el Festival Videoformes (Clermont-Ferrand, Francia) y artista en residencia en Fabra i Coats (Barcelona) y en Nau Estruch (Sabadell). Sus piezas audiovisuales han sido seleccionadas en diversos festivales en Europa y Latinoamérica. Es co-autora junto a Rubén López Cano del libro: Investigación artística en música. Problemas, métodos, paradigmas, experiencias y modelos. Actualmente es docente de asignaturas humanísticas en Taller de Músics Escuela Superior de Estudios Musicales, y de Historia de la música en el audiovisual en la Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC)
Úrsula San Cristóbal (1987) is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher based in Barcelona. Her artistic work proposes a meeting point between the languages of experimental music, contemporary art, and audiovisual. She focuses on the body, sound, and video, addressing diverse problems such as gender, mental health, eroticism, affects, and the fantastic imagination linked to the disturbing and the strange. She holds a Ph.D. in Art History and Musicology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona with a thesis on the role of sound in works of video art and performance art by Marina Abramović and Shirin Neshat, research for which she received the extraordinary Ph.D. award in 2020.
She has been a guest artist at the Videoformes Festival (Clermont-Ferrand, France) and an artist in residence at Fabra i Coats (Barcelona) and Nau Estruch (Sabadell). Her audiovisual pieces have been selected for various festivals in Europe and Latin America. She is a co-author with Rubén López Cano of the book Artistic Research in Music. Problems, methods, paradigms, experiences, and models. She is currently a teacher of humanistic courses at the Taller de Músics Higher School of Musical Studies and of History of music in audiovisuals at the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC).
